Multipartite quantum correlations in open quantum systems

چکیده
In this paper, we present a measure of quantum correlation for a multipartite system, defined as the sum of the correlations for all possible partitions. Our measure can be defined for quantum discord (QD), geometric quantum discord or even for entanglement of formation (EOF). For tripartite pure states, we show that the multipartite measures for the QD and the EOF are equivalent, which allows direct comparison of the distribution and the robustness of these correlations in open quantum systems. We study dissipative dynamics for two distinct families of entanglement: a W state and a GHZ state. We show that, for the W state, the QD is more robust than the entanglement, while for the GHZ state, this is not true. It turns out that the initial genuine multipartite entanglement present in the GHZ state makes the EOF more robust than the QD. 5 Author to whom any correspondence should be addressed. Multipartite quantum correlations and local recoverability.
Characterizing genuine multipartite quantum correlations in quantum physical systems has historically been a challenging problem in quantum information theory. More recently, however, the total correlation or multipartite information measure has been helpful in accomplishing this goal, especially with the multipartite symmetric quantum (MSQ) discord (Piani et al. 2008 Phys. Rev. Lett. 100, 0905...
متن کاملGenuine quantum and classical correlations in multipartite systems.
Generalizing the quantifiers used to classify correlations in bipartite systems, we define genuine total, quantum, and classical correlations in multipartite systems. The measure we give is based on the use of relative entropy to quantify the distance between two density matrices. Moreover, we show that, for pure states of three qubits, both quantum and classical bipartite correlations obey a l...
متن کاملBound on genuine multipartite correlations from the principle of information causality
Quantum mechanics is not the unique no-signaling theory which is endowed with stronger-than-classical correlations, and there exists a broad class of no-signaling theories allowing even stronger-than-quantum correlations. The principle of information causality has been suggested to distinguish quantum theory from these nonphysical theories, together with an elegant information-theoretic proof o...
متن کاملMonogamy and Polygamy of Entanglement in Multipartite Quantum Systems
One distinct property of quantum entanglement from other classical correlations is that multipartite entanglements cannot be freely shared among the parties: If two parties in a multi-party system share a maximally entangled state, then they cannot share any entanglement with the rest. This is known as monogamy of entanglement (MoE) [1], which is a key ingredient for secure quantum cryptography...

We propose generalizations of concurrence for multipartite quantum systems that can distinguish qualitatively distinct quantum correlations. All introduced quantities can be evaluated efficiently for arbitrary mixed sates.
